Sleeping River (2009)
Sleeping River interweaves breathtaking expanses, wounded characters and a psychological method of editing to create an indelible return home for Tim, who can’t seem to remember the details of a traumatic event from his childhood. Set in the Pawnee National Grasslands of Northeastern Colorado, Sleeping River takes full advantage of a landscape of austerity and abandoned places, where the constant wind, sun and sand have kept wounds from heeling for those who have never left. Sleeping River was an official selection at the Long Island International Film Expo (’09), Muskegon Film Festival (’09), the Queens International Film Festival (’09), the Red Rock Film Festival (’10) and the Traverse City Shorts Fest (’11).
